The Role

Nottingham Girls’ High School seeks an outstanding and experienced History and Politics teacher to join our thriving Humanities Faculty in September.  The post will involve teaching mainly History from KS3 to A level, alongside A level Politics, delivering engaging and high‑quality lessons with expertise and enthusiasm, supporting the progress of individual students and contributing positively to the school’s pastoral system. The ability to teach other KS3 Humanities subjects would be an advantage but not essential.

About the School

At Nottingham Girls’ High School, we foster a work environment that is inclusive and supportive, where all students and teachers thrive. Lessons are happy, the curriculum is diverse, and all areas of the school enjoy a focus on excellence in terms of learning and pastoral care. Here, everyone is listened to, valued and respected. We celebrate each individual in our diverse family of teachers, support staff and students, and commit to continually building on our inclusive practices. Therefore, we particularly welcome applications from people from diverse backgrounds.

We have an attractive and open campus that backs on to the Nottingham Arboretum, an ideal place to walk or run during free periods and over lunch. The school is centrally located with excellent public transport links, including a tram stop less than 500m from the school. We have also recently opened a new gym which staff can access at certain times and enjoy discounted rates.
