Notting Hill & Ealing High School, Independent School of the Year 2024, has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to contribute to an active Drama Department.

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Drama, with a passion for the subject and excellent subject knowledge. Training can be offered on the job for the right candidate.

The Department

The Drama Department strives to create curious students, who are inspired to be creative and use theatre as a medium to understand and explore the world. Our students are bright and dynamic producing performance work of the highest standard. The department is made up of the Director of Drama, one full time teacher (which we are recruiting for here) and a part-time teacher of Drama. The School also has a dedicated LAMDA teacher.

The Drama department is housed in the Main School and has its own black box 100-seater Drama studio with retractable seating. The Studio is fitted with a tension wire grid which enables pupils of all ages to access, design, programme and operate either of the two lighting boards, a Jester TLXtra or Strand 300. The grid is well stocked with a variety of LED lanterns as well as more traditional lanterns. There is an adjoining technical drama workshop that is well utilised by students in the design and technical teams for both productions and for curriculum drama.
