Teacher of Classics (ability to teach Latin will be desirable) opportunity for additional responsibilities

Salary: From £34,000 to £51,000 (depending on skills and experience)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part Time or full time FTE (If part time, salary will pro rata)

Required from: September 2026

Brighton Girls' has an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and motivated Teacher of Classics and Latin to join their thriving Languages, Classics and Latin Faculty from September 2026. The faculty is well resourced and will be led by an experienced and skilled Head of Faculty.

You will contribute to providing an excellent education for the pupils by teaching challenging, well-organised lessons with expertise and enthusiasm, as well as offering support to the learning of individual students and contributing to the school’s pastoral system.

You will need to use an appropriate range of teaching strategies and resources, in order to meet learners’ needs and expectations and raise levels of attainment.

You will be an enthusiastic, positive and hardworking Teacher, with a passion for Classics and the ability to communicate this to others. You will be a well-qualified graduate with a proven track record of academic success within Classics and Latin, as a subject teacher, PGCE student or ECT.
