Location: Portsmouth High School GDST, Kent Road, Southsea, PO5 3EQ
Hours: 22.5 hrs per week (split shift), Monday to Friday
Weeks: Term time only
Salary: GDST Regional Support Grade 2 (£26,088 pa pro rata ie £12,926)
Portsmouth High School has a vacancy for a term time only minibus driver. This is a part time position with a split shift during school term time only. The job would particularly suit someone with excellent driving skills who enjoys working with children and wants a rewarding role with free time in the middle of the day.
A minibus driving licence is an essential part of the role. However, for the right candidate, we would consider a full car licence holder who is working towards the D1 licence. You would need to commit to a further 2 years in the post on completion of successful training.
This is a great hands-on role and a chance to be an ambassador for Portsmouth High School and the GDST Trust. Working within our strong safeguarding framework, you will develop positive, professional relationships with children and their parents/carers. In addition to driving, responsibilities include conducting safety checks.
The salary is paid over 12 months and includes holiday pay.
