We are looking to appoint a part time, highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive, hardworking team working. You will be working 1:1 with a child with additional learning needs, part time (15 hours), across the week. The position is term time only.

You should have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of which at least 2 years should be working with children/young people with a range of SEN, preferably with some experience of working with those who are visually impaired. You should have an up to date and working knowledge of child development and the national curriculum. You should have experience of collaborative work with a range of professionals and agencies. In addition, an ability to develop excellent working relationships with parents/carers and families. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about girls’ education and will have an ability to connect with pupils to create positive and trusting relationships. We pride ourselves on developing each girl to their full potential, both academically and socially.

Royal High School is part of the GDST (Girls Day School Trust) and is an academically selective, independent day (3-18) and boarding (11-18) school for approximately 600 girls. Prep and Senior Schools are both situated on the northern side of Bath, enjoying commanding views of the city and with good access to the A46 and M4.

The lower Prep school comprises of a Nursery, and single year groups classes of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The upper Prep School consists currently of a one Year 3, one Year 4 class and two parallel classes of Year 6 girls.
