Laboratory Technician

Full Time, Term Time Only, 8.15am – 4.15pm (plus 5 days)
Salary: £30,291 - £35,000p/a FTE; £24,696 - £28,536 pro rata
Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, is looking for a bright, enthusiastic and highly organised Laboratory Technician to join our thriving Science Department.
This is a key role within a busy and well-resourced team, supporting the delivery of high-quality practical science education across all key stages. Working closely with teaching staff, you will prepare and oversee practical work in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, ensuring the safe and efficient running of experiments and demonstrations. You will help facilitate innovative and engaging science lessons, contribute ideas for new practical activities and ensure that the departmental inventory is well-stocked and equipment is well-maintained.
You should ideally have experience working in a laboratory environment and have studied science to at least A Level. Strong organisational and good IT skills are also essential. This position would suit an experienced science technician seeking progression into a more senior role, or a recent science graduate with substantial laboratory experience looking to begin a career in education.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates with a background in Biology or Physics, although welcome all applications.
