Junior School Peripatetic Singing Teacher

For September 2026

Variable- currently 1 day per week

Notting Hill & Ealing High School, one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Junior School Peripatetic Singing Teacher to work with pupils in Years 3–6. The successful candidate will be confident teaching individual lessons across a range of musical styles, with a strong emphasis on developing musicianship. As the school incorporates elements of the Kodály approach within its music curriculum, knowledge of and experience with this methodology would be advantageous.

The post holder will be engaged on a self-employed basis and will be expected to be available for 1 day per week, term time only. The day/timings can vary depending on other commitments. They will be responsible for creating their own timetable to ensure weekly lessons of 35-minutes are taught to their pupils. Candidates will ideally be on the DBS Update Service. You will be required to invoice directly to the parents of the pupils you teach. The GDST or the School cannot act as agent for either you or the parent and will have no involvement in either invoicing or payment. You remain free to set your own charging rate and should notify the School in writing at least one term in advance of the rate you will charge for the following term.
