Nottingham Girls' High School, part of the GDST, seeks a dedicated practitioner to provide 1:1 support for a student with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), specifically relating to Autism and ADHD.

Job overview
- You will work closely with the SENDCo and class teachers to deliver high quality, personalised support across learning, behaviour, communication and social development and be responsible for the following:
- Supporting planning and delivery of targeted 1:1 interventions
- Preparing and adapting resources to ensure curriculum access
- Implementing emotional literacy, communication and sensory support strategies
- Delivering structured break and lunchtime support
- Providing multi sensory learning support
- Monitoring progress and maintaining records
- Liaising with colleagues, parents and external professionals
- Supporting trips and wider school life
Job requirements
- Relevant TA/HLTA qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly Autism and ADHD
- Strong communication, empathy and active listening skills
- Ability to adapt learning materials
- Strong observational and record keeping skills
- Collaborative, calm, flexible and professional
