We are looking to expand and add to our pool of invigilators to oversee and supervise exams on an ad-hoc basis, as required by the school. Applicants must be able to attend interview the week commencing13 April and subject to checks, they must also be able to offer availability during May and June.
Previous invigilating experience would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided. It is important however that you possess and can evidence the following skills and attributes through your application and at interview:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Calm, professional and observant
- Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Confident in following procedures and giving clear instructions
As an invigilator, you will:
- Support the Examinations Team in enforcing exam processes and JCQ regulations.
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all examinations at all times.
- Distribute, collect and collate exam papers and materials efficiently and securely.
- Remain vigilant throughout exam sessions, ensuring all candidates adhere to the rules.
- Provide appropriate and sensitive support for students with special arrangements.
- Oversee candidate entry and exit, ensuring silence and order are maintained.
- Verify candidate identities and accurately record exam start and finish times.
- Supervise candidates discreetly and professionally.
- Report any incidents or disruptions promptly and complete written records when required.
- Attend training sessions provided by the Examinations Team.
