An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable DT Technician to join our team, providing support for the Design & Technology department.
The DT department is vibrant and forward-thinking, with passionate, dedicated staff and students. As Design & Technology Technician, you will join our dynamic department and help bring our brand-new, state-of-the-art DT Maker Space to life. In this role, you will use your passion to support hands-on learning and your technical expertise to maintain machinery, manage resources, and ensure a safe, inspiring environment for our students.
Beyond ensuring the smooth running of the practical elements of the subject through the proactive procurement and preparation of materials, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in the creative direction of the department. You will work closely in supporting the Head of Department to develop our evolving curriculum and successfully execute innovative departmental projects.
Furthermore, you will play a key role in the planning and preparation of our annual exhibition, showcasing our students’ incredible achievements. With a vision for the wider life of the school, you will also make suggestions for and help facilitate exciting collaborations with other departments, embedding Design & Technology into our vibrant co-curricular programme.
