We are looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Administrator to join our busy school office.  This is a varied role supporting pupils, staff, visitors and the wider school community, ensuring high-quality administration and a welcoming front-of-house service.

You'll handle day-to-day office tasks including diary management, data entry, filing, processing orders, reprographics, managing emails and maintaining supplies.  You'll greet visitors, manage calls, oversee sign-in procedures, and ensure safeguarding and health and safety standards are followed.  The role also supports school events, trips and meetings, as well as pupil induction, supervision and occasional classroom or off-site support.

You may assist with pupil welfare, including first aid if qualified, and help maintain medical records.  You'll contribute to school communications such as newsletters and notices and provide clear guidance on school procedures.  Confidentiality, professionalism and adherence to policies - including GDPR and safeguarding - are essential.

We're seeking someone with strong administrative experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.  You'll be calm under pressure, empathetic when supporting pupils and families and confident working collaboratively as part of a friendly, forward-thinking team.  A genuine commitment to girls' education and keeping children safe is central to the role.

While this position is advertised on a full-time, full-year basis, we are committed to flexible working and would be pleased to hear from candidates who wish to be considered for a job-share opportunity, subject to finding a suitable job-share partner.

As part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), the UK's leading network of independent girls  schools, we can offer a variety of benefits, such as:

  • Competitive salaries and pay progression
  • Access to extensive professional development opportunities
  • Training grants for qualifications
  • A discount of up to 50% on fees for children at DST schools
  • A free 2- course meal during term time
  • Generous pension schemes
  • Free life assurance benefit
  • Interest free loans for training, computer purchase loans and travel season ticket loans
  • A Cycle to Work scheme
  • Competitive terms and conditions of employment
