Blackheath High School is seeking a well-qualified and passionate Business & Economics Teacher to join its thriving and successful Business & Economics department on a part time basis.
You will play a key role in the department by delivering engaging and stimulating Business and Economics lessons to students in Year 12 and Year 13, helping them to achieve their full potential in these subjects. In addition to classroom teaching, you will contribute to the school’s pastoral system by supporting the wellbeing and progress of individual students. As part of the wider school community, you will also be expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and hardworking teacher with a genuine passion for Business and Economics. You will need previous experience of teaching both subjects at A level and be able to use a range of effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
About the Business & Economics Department
The Business & Economics department is successfully growing at Blackheath High School. Numbers applying for the subject are very healthy for next year, outstripping the average for A Level subjects. In 2025, at A Level, girls achieved 100% at Grades A*- B in Economics and 100% A*- C in Business. A number of students opt to continue to study Business or Economics related subjects at degree level.
