The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the UK’s leading family of independent girls’ schools. For over 150 years, we have been shaping confident, courageous young women who go on to change the world. We are now seeking an experienced and creative Brand Marketing Manager to join our Trust Office team on a maternity cover basis.

This is a pivotal role within our Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy team, responsible for developing and growing the GDST brand, building awareness and engagement nationally and internationally, and supporting our schools to strengthen their local brand profiles. You will play a key role in ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints, aligned to the GDST’s strategic pillars and growth ambitions.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will lead the creation, production and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across a multi-channel mix, with a particular strength in paid digital strategies. You will manage agency partners, oversee production budgets and take ownership of measurement and reporting, ensuring clear return on investment and impact.

You will:

  • Lead end-to-end development and delivery of GDST marketing campaigns, from strategic conception through to execution and evaluation
  • Manage creative production, including photo and video shoots, and oversee agency partners
  • Plan and buy media with agency partners across digital and other channels to maximise reach and visibility among target audiences
  • Develop distinctive, high-quality content across the marketing ecosystem, including campaign messaging, storytelling and copywriting
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistent and appropriate use of GDST brand guidelines across the organisation
  • Provide specialist creative and strategic support to school marketing teams
  • Contribute to growth initiatives, including international marketing activity

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy, as well as School Marketing Directors and external partners, to deliver impactful campaigns that drive engagement, leads and conversion.

About you

We are looking for a confident, commercially aware marketing professional who has worked either in-house or within a marketing or advertising agency environment.

You will bring:

  • A strong track record of independently managing creative production and multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience of media planning and buying, with particular strength in paid digital strategies
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and report clearly on campaign performance and ROI
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to balance multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships across a complex organisation
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to take initiative and drive projects forward
  • Experience of international marketing and an interest in the education sector would be advantageous.
  • You will be proficient in Canva, Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
