The Role: Teacher of Mathematics
Location: Oxford High School (GDST)

Contract term: Fixed Term, Maternity Cover.
Hours: Part Time

The role:
We seek a highly motivated teacher of Mathematics to join our team for a fixed term. The successful candidate will be a leading practitioner who can inspire pupils, have an obvious passion for teaching Mathematics, and a track record of outstanding pupil outcomes at both GCSE and A Level. They will teach Maths to Years 7-13. All teachers at Oxford High School are involved in the delivery of pastoral care as form tutors and are expected to make contributions to both the co- and extra- curricular life of the school.
The Department:
The successful candidate will join a thriving department of eight talented teachers who aim to encourage curiosity and stimulate interest through varied lessons that engage, excite and inspire. We aim for all of our students to have a positive experience in learning mathematics so that they achieve excellent outcomes, through revealing the full structure and beauty of the subject, beyond the confines of traditional curricula. Students take risks, mistakes are learnt from and discussion is lively, but at the same time there is a strong emphasis on the importance of clear working, and precise mathematical communication.
Staff teach in 5 dedicated classrooms, predominantly using the latest technology in innovative ways to complement our teaching. Sixth Form lessons are taught in the state-of-the-art Ada Benson Building.
