The Role
We are looking for a confident and customer-focused ICT professional who enjoys solving problems and helping people get the most from technology.
As an ICT Firstline Technician at Wimbledon High School, you will play a vital role in keeping the school’s technology running smoothly, providing responsive support to staff and students, and ensuring issues are resolved quickly, clearly and professionally.
You will manage helpdesk tickets, diagnose and resolve technical faults, install and configure hardware and software, support Windows and Apple devices, and assist with upgrades, maintenance and equipment repairs. The role also involves supporting printers, phones, network-enabled devices and audio-visual equipment for assemblies, events and visiting speakers, while helping to maintain secure, reliable and well-documented ICT services.
You will have proven experience delivering customer-focused ICT support, using a service desk or ticketing system, and troubleshooting a range of technical issues. You will also bring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, close attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands. You should be able to work logically and independently, recognise when an issue needs escalating, and remain calm and solutions-focused when dealing with complex problems.
