The Belvedere Academy, Liverpool
NOR - 1187 (including 293 in Sixth Form)
POST TITLE: Teacher of Chemistry
SALARY: MPS
Required for September 2026
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Chemistry teacher to join our outstanding Science Department. The successful candidate should ideally be able to teach Chemistry to GCSE standard and all Sciences at Key Stage 3. An ability to teach to A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care or Child Development is also desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established department in an outstanding academy.
In 2007, Belvedere was the first independent school to become an academy and is continuing the traditions and standards of its predecessor school. We have high expectations of all our students and we support them with excellent pastoral care. Our extensive Enrichment programme allows pupils to develop into well rounded individuals. In March 2025, Ofsted judged us Outstanding in Behaviour and Attitudes and in Personal Development. We were delighted that they recognised how our “ambitious” curriculum inspired our pupils to be, “ambitious for their futures” within an “inclusive” community in which pupils “can be themselves”.
Children of our staff have a higher priority in our Y7 admissions process - please see the Admissions Policy on our website or call the academy office for further details.
Closing date for applications: 9am on Monday, 27th April 2026
Interview Date: week commencing 4th May 2026
